Programs with Minors

Any student organization hosting a program with minors should inform their advisor and .

If 911±¬ÁÏÍø students will be hosting or attending an event off-campus where there are minors, but parents/school teachers are present, no forms are needed unless the sponsoring agency requires them. If parent/school teachers are not present, University personnel will assume custody of minors and background checks must be conducted.

If 911±¬ÁÏÍø students will be working with minors on campus and the minors' parents/school teachers will be present, 911±¬ÁÏÍø students must file the event with legal counsel. To do so, please contact the Deans' Office administrative assistant.

If 911±¬ÁÏÍø students will be working with minors on campus and the minors' parents/school teachers will not be present, 911±¬ÁÏÍø students must complete various background checks. All participating members must complete the following forms two weeks in advance:

As the cover letter indicates, 911±¬ÁÏÍø students serving as event managers must provide a full roster of all 911±¬ÁÏÍø student participants with the cover letter. Also, event managers must compile the forms for all participants before mailing them to the background check processing office.
